More than eighty eggs olive ridley turtles ( Lepidochelys olivacea ) has hatched turtle conservation at the site of the first and the only one in the region of the Yellow Water Village , Jembrana Regency , Bali . The place is run by a turtle conservation groups called Segara Urip turtle conservationists with the support ProFauna Indonesia .

Babies turtle hatchling called it will be released by the group Segara Urip involving devices such as village and Kelian Banjar Perbekel on September 4 , 2013. Besides, the team also invited KSDA Jembrana Resort , Pamangku of Pura In Yellow Water , Junior High School Students and Sispala 5 Yellow Water ( Nature Lovers Students ) of SMP Negeri 1 Mendoyo . This hatchling release is an effort to educate the public about the importance of preserving the Yellow Water turtles
Turtle conservation groups ‘ Segara Urip ‘ true has long been concerned with the state of the turtle in the Yellow Water coastal areas are increasingly facing challenges . Various kinds of problems arise in the conservation of sea turtles , among others, making turtles by people clandestinely for sale or meat, the threat of abrasion which makes rotten turtle eggs and hatch , and the installation of concrete barriers blocking the waves to lay eggs .
Of the many problems that arise , making illegal turtle is the most severe problems in the preservation efforts of this endangered species . With the guidance of ProFauna , Segara Urip start turtle conservation project on the Yellow Water Beach since 2013. Turtle conservation in the Yellow Water include night patrols involving the former turtle hunters , egg relocation to a safer place , and release hatchlings into the sea .
Urip immediately agreed with the concept in the management ProFauna turtle hatchlings that will not hold for long periods exhibited to tourists , or will not make a dive attraction as a means to earn money . Newly hatched hatchlings should be released as soon as possible to enhance the power of the sea to its survival in the wild .
Campaigners ProFauna Indonesia , Bayu password , say ” detention practices hatchlings to get money from tourist purposes is a serious form of exploitation of the animals that have been protected by Indonesian law . ” ProFauna berpendangan that hold hatchlings linger in the tank it is a form of exploitation in the name of conservation .

All species of sea turtles in Indonesia has been protected by the Government Regulation ( PP ) No. 7 of 1999 , this means that all forms of trafficking turtles either alive , dead , or any part of the body such as eggs is prohibited . According to Law No. 5 of 1990 on Conservation of Natural Resources and Ecosystems actors perdagangansatwa turtle is protected as it can be imprisoned for 5 years and a fine of Rp 100 million .
